wealth of animal welfare and top-level business
experience under her belt. A natural leader,
Linda has spent 30+ years as a consultant
providing revenue-boosting IT business solutions

for world-leading blue chip companies like IBM,
Oracle, Ford, P and O and Cisco. Alongside this,
she’s been deeply involved at all levels as an RSPCA volunteer, and is currently serving her third term as a member of its governing council.
This mix of business savvy and animal welfare credentials supports Animal Kind’s
aim to work with anyone, anywhere whose stated aim is to improve the lot of animals.

alastair_25Consultant Alastair Keen brings to Animal Kind
an impressive animal welfare investigative
background. Alastair began his career in the
Royal Military Police, and inspected animal establishments for local authorities before becoming an RSPCA inspector. He was swiftly promoted to its special operations unit and worked all over Europe combating organised cruelty such as animal fighting and wildlife crime, CITES offences and live animal transport. Alastair went on to direct operations at the Irish SPCA, managing its national dog warden service, animal centre and inspectorate, and campaigning to change the law to tackle Ireland’s cruel puppy farming trade. Alastair has extensive experience in designing and delivering animal welfare training for police, inspectors and other animal welfare law enforcers.

RPDA[2]Consultant Rob Atkinson comes to Animal Kind after an incredibly successful period as chief executive of the Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee. The sanctuary provides refuge for ex-circus and zoo elephants, and Rob was at the helm to turn its fortunes around dramatically after a period of crisis. Rob oversaw a huge increase in income, stabilised team morale and boosted community and political relationships during his time there. Before this, Rob was head of wildlife at the RSPCA, spearheading the development of the charity’s performing animals guidelines as well as reforming its wildlife centres and consolidating and enhancing the RSPCA’s reputation as the UK’s premier source of wildlife welfare expertise. A leading wildlife welfare consultant with numerous publications and research papers to his name, Rob is an impressive addition to the Animal Kind team.

*Please note: Tim and Alastair are no longer RSPCA employees, but stand by all the animal
welfare principles they learned during their time as RSPCA inspectors
